I have moved 7 times in the past 10 years between New York, Connecticut, and California, so I know a thing or two about dealing with movers. I simply cannot say enough good things about 1/2 Price and their lead guy, Shanti. They are the most professional, courteous, resourceful, and accommodating movers I have worked with.

This July, I wanted to gift my mother an antique furniture set for her dining room (dining set and china cabinet). As you can see from the pictures, this glass furniture was exquisite and glossy, and required tremendous care when moving. I was extremely worried about the possibility of damage and scratches, as I had plenty of experience with my Ikea furniture getting scratched or cracked during moves (it's part of the package). But this was antique furniture, and I couldn't afford any risks. It's unbelievable how professionally 1/2 Price handled my furniture and treated it as their own.

As I was shopping around for the best-rated movers in NY (I am very meticulous about prices and tend to go cheap), I was pleasantly surprised that their rates were literally "half" of what the competition was offering. They call themselves 1/2 Price for good reason. Their customer service and booking experience were also incredibly smooth. But the real satisfaction came with the delivery and installation.
